- Career Development Resources
The PMI website features a section called â€Å“Career Central,” which provides valuable career insights and trends, making it an excellent resource for those looking to advance in their current roles or explore new opportunities.

What If I Am on a Tight Budget?

If budget constraints are an issue, you might consider not renewing your membership continuously and instead applying for it strategically. Certification holders must renew their certifications (excluding CAPM®) every three years. Membership allows access to lower renewal fees and the ability to earn PDUs through the PMI website.

In theory, you could apply for membership every three years without renewing in between (note: each application incurs a $10 fee). This approach would enable you to renew your certifications and accumulate the required PDUs (e.g., 60 PDUs for PMP holders and 30 PDUs for PMI-ACP® holders).

By following this strategy, you would only pay the membership fee plus the application fee ($129 + $10) every three years, saving up to $248 per re-certification cycle. The only downside is that your membership dashboard will reflect only your most recent application year as your "member since" date; however, I do not view this as a significant drawback.
